A place at the table to the very end.
We accompany seriously ill and dying people and their families in the town and district of Leer. Voluntary, free of charge, open to all faiths. And we stay when grief comes.
Urgent at weekends and on public holidays, 9 am to 7 pm 0160 801 85 91
Don’t stir.
In East Frisia tea is never stirred. On top the cream, soft as a cloud. Beneath it the tea, strong and sometimes bitter. At the bottom the rock sugar crackles.
That is how we accompany, too. We smooth nothing over and we do not stir. Every feeling may have its place for as long as it needs. And at the bottom something sweet remains: memory.
- Wulkjethe cream cloud. Care, closeness, time.
- Teastrong. Farewell, pain and grief have room.
- Kluntjeat the bottom. What remains is sweet.
What we have built in Leer since 1999.
1Support at home
We visit seriously ill and dying people at home, in care homes or in hospital. We have time, for the person who is ill and for everyone close to them.
People who stay.
2The hospice house
In 2009 we brought the first inpatient hospice in East Frisia into being. A house with a garden, a fireplace and an East Frisian sofa, right next door in Mörkenstraße.
A home for a while.
3Grief
Seventeen offers, from the open grief café to the group for parents of star children. For adults, for children from six, for teenagers, for men.
No one has to grieve alone.
4Talking about it
